We are currently looking to recruit a Controller for our site in Berlin, Germany.

YOUR ROLE

The Controller President Office (PO) Functions supports the PO functions (current scope: Project Management, Quality, Finance, HR, Legal, Sales, Communications, Strategy, Transformation) in developing, implementing and enforcing standard Finance processes, KPIs and best practices worldwide. He / she serves as a Finance Business Partner to the Heads of the respective global PO functions by providing guidance to achieve the financial objectives of the function and by supporting the various transformation initiatives within the function towards efficiency, simplicity and agility.

Your Responsibilities

Business Partnering: Develop and setup procedures and KPIs with the PO function leaders to foster a controlling culture; Enable, influence & challenge the function leaders to manage the drivers of their budget, to define and achieve the financial targets and to manage related risks and opportunities; Understand the strategy of the function and align it with the financial strategies of BT; Support the Decision-making process in the functions providing financial models and analyzing business cases; Support functional Transformation initiatives to achieve financial objectives (e.g. development and reporting of transformation KPIs related to overall BT expenses and headcount)

Expense Controlling: Lead and coordinate all activities required to control the expenses of the PO functions and their charges; Perform actual analyses and coordinate the planning activities for forecast and budget; Communicate within the function the deliverables and timelines, prepare and perform related reviews; Develop and provide narrative information to the Function Management and Group FP&A; Document consolidated findings, conclusions and recommendations, and ensure that the financial information correctly reflects the function performance at year-, quarter- and period-ends.

Global Finance Initiatives: Contribute to global BT Finance initiatives launched by the Finance Leadership Team in order to execute the BT Finance transformation towards efficiency, simplicity and agility. In addition, the position holder also will work on specific mandates requested by Corporate Office.

Qualifications

• Hold a business bachelor’s degree or the equivalent

• Have good knowledge of accounting norms

• Have 5 years or more of experience in Financial Controlling and analysis or relevant experience

• Possess excellent leadership and communication skills and oriented towards results

• Have the ability to build and maintain mutually beneficial partnerships with peers, partners and customers

• Have the ability to obtain buy-in from various users and able to exert influence to implement change

• Have good judgement and the capacity to prioritize multiple projects concurrently, meeting tight deadlines and adapting to changing priorities
