Rail Control Solutions (RCS) is a world leader in developing, engineering, and installing rail control and signalling safety systems, products, and services. RCS enables the safe and efficient operation of rail networks and trains.

About the role:

As a CBI (Computer-based interlocking) Software Engineer you will mainly work on developing software for the German interlocking system (interlocking logic) CS950_DB based on EBI Lock 950 product.

This includes analysis of requirements of customer DB AG and implementation of requirements regarding the interlocking logic into a software architecture and a software design, modelling of software modules and implementation of interfaces. In addition to these tasks, it is also part of the workload to analyse basic designs of customer CBI projects regarding interlocking logic requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Analyse customer requirements and formulate internal requirements based on those.

- Develop architectures, designs and software implementation according to requirements.

- Verification of implementations and documentation.

- Documentation according to standards and project requirements.

- Support validation, assessment and homologation.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or any other equivalent field or work experience.

- Relevant experience required in a similar role (i.e. directly linked to the requirements of the position/role).

- Sound knowledge of Software Engineering and Formal Language Theory

- Railway signalling knowledge will be preferred.

- MS Office, DOORS, CM Synergy.

- Open minded, easily adaptable, positive attitude towards new challenges.

- Analytical, meticulous and self-driven.

- German at a mother tongue level is mandatory for this role and English at an intermediate level.
