PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The T&C Supervsior applies electrical and mechanical theory and knowledge to test, repair, and modify vehicles and equipment. The T&C Supervisor shall conduct deep troubleshooting of systems and equipment to identify root cause of failures and integration issues, and identify/define containment and sustainable solution, with support of core product engineers. The T&C Supervsior shall analyse performance data from instrumentation and Bombardier tools such as Maximo & Orbita to promptly isolate source of issues and defects. The T&C supervisor shall ensure that safety is enforced in all steps leading toward solution and during execution.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and recommends preventative and corrective maintenance, including associated documentation, and prepares specifications for materials, equipment components and processes
• To conduct investigation and data based analyses based on BT approved tools (e.g.: Maximo, Orbita)
• Supervise and enforce site configuration control policies and procedures
• Instructs and directs technicians in servicing and repairing
• Lead and direct the workforce so as to build and maintain efficient and effective work teams.
• Direct the development and administration of training programs for the enhancement of work team skills
• Facilitate meetings with staff
• Plans, directs, and records periodic testing, and recommends or initiates modification or replacement of equipment that fails to meet acceptable standards
• Direct the planning, development and use of systems to report, manage and analyze system testing & commissioning, inventory, spares and budgetary data
• Develops wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and engineering specifications for system or equipment modifications
• Enforce all company safety policies/Rules and promote positive Safety Culture during T&C phase.
• Advises management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product enhancements
• Provide management presence and initiative in the absence of the PI manager; provide other managerial and professional duties as assigned

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

• Engineering degree
• Possess basic knowledge of the principles of mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic systemsTypically, minimum 5 years relevant experience
• Experience with vehicle systems required and experience in Vehicle Systems, Signalling, Communication system, wayside switches,
• Power supply and platform screen doors will be preferred.
