What are your contributions to the team?
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the suppliers’ Quality Leadership teams.
- Assess suppliers’ quality performance and define objectives for improvement plans.
- Support source inspections at supplier sites (frequent travel required).
- Plan and validate First Article Inspections (FAI).
- Provide technical support and ensure follow-up on quality deliverables.
- Participate in investigations of supplier quality issues, initiate corrective actions, and implement containment plans.
- Take part in governance activities and lead quality reviews with suppliers.
- Prepare and present reports on project status and progress.
- Manage complex quality issues while maintaining strong internal and supplier relationships.
- Summarize complex situations into clear, concise executive presentations.
- Support management by assuming team leadership when required; may supervise other team members.
- Candidate must be able to travel internationally on short notice.
How to thrive in this role?
- You possess a bachelor’s degree in administration, Engineering, Science, or a related field, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in Quality and/or Manufacturing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in the aerospace or automotive industry. You have the ability to work with minimal supervision, be a team player, and demonstrate initiative, leadership, and good communication and interpersonal skills.
- You are available to travel outside of Canada on short notice.
- You have experience with manufacturing and assembling components with GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing).
- You have advanced problem resolution and project management experience.
- You have knowledge of aviation regulations and related quality standards.
- You have good oral and technical writing skills in English and French are required
