What are your contributions to the team?

  • Provides support to Bombardier Mexico production units (Stress MRB).
  • Participates in design-phase work packages as a stress engineer.
  • Performs low- to medium‑complexity stress engineering assignments, requiring knowledge across multiple engineering fields (manufacturing, materials, design, etc.).
  • Develops low- to medium‑complexity plans and recommends changes to plans and/or specifications to address specific issues.
  • Prepares documentation for approval by higher‑level professionals.
  • Learns and applies Bombardier Aerospace standards and practices while developing solutions using a variety of techniques.
  • May be responsible for small work packages.
  • Solves problems of limited complexity.
  • May provide guidance to new team members.
  • Contributes to and/or coordinates continuous improvement initiatives.

How to thrive in this role?

  • You hold Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • You have a background in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or related Engineering (completed or in the process of degree certification).
  • You have 2 to 5 years of experience in engineering roles focused on structural analysis.
  • You have strong communication skills in English (written, spoken).
  • You have technical Knowledge in:
    • Strong understanding of mechanical design, structural analysis, and strength of materials (required).
    • Knowledge of vibration analysis (preferred).
    • Familiarity with Low Cycle Fatigue (LCF) and High Cycle Fatigue (HCF) analysis (a plus).
    • Understanding of aircraft component certification requirements (a plus).
    • Knowledge of structural engineering standards and processes (preferred).
    • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and design standards (a plus).
  • You are proficient in:
    • Microsoft Office.
    • Experience with Finite Element Modeling tools such as NASTRAN/PATRAN, ANSYS APDL/Workbench, CATIA, or Hyperworks (a plus).
    • Knowledge of Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) (a plus).
    • Familiarity with CATIA V5 and/or Unigraphics UG -Siemens NX- (a plus).
