What are your contributions to the team?
- Continuously improve the HSE management system for the Operations site in accordance with local legislation, ISO 14001 and 45001 and Bombardier HSE requirements
- Coach Operations management to drive a pro-active approach to HSE
- Use a risk management approach, identify risks and ensure mitigation measures are in place to reduce risks and improve HSE Performance
- Ensure HSE legal compliance via audits & action plans
- Offer front line support to address site specific HSE risks
- Develop site specific procedures to address risks
- Lead site level Health, safety and environmental governance, HSE reporting, regulatory reporting and trends analysis
- Represent the site with external health, safety and environment regulatory agencies
- Participate in site & local HSE committees as well as the joint health & safety committee
- Manage the site HSE team and budget
How to thrive in this role? Skills, knowledge & experience:
- You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HSE or in a related field
- You have a minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in HSE, preferably in a manufacturing, unionized environment with experience in a Leadership role
- You have experience in developing and implementing site wide HSE programs, providing both strategic and hands-on support in HSE
- You can work well in a dynamic and complex environment
- You have strong interpersonal skills, presentation & communication skills
- You can interact and interface with all levels of the organization
- You are skilled at setting priorities & reassessing in response to changing demands
- You can think strategically, search for original solutions, strong analytical & problem-solving skills
- You are bilingual (English & Spanish).
