What are your contributions to the team?
- Execute complex testing activities in accordance with established procedures and standards.
- Prepare, review, and approve detailed testing reports.
- Support laboratory projects of medium complexity, following priorities defined by the Section Chief.
- Review and approve internal procedures related to laboratory testing.
- Review and approve equipment maintenance activities and contributes to the development of usage procedures.
- Plan activities within area of expertise for mid- to long-term objectives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Address problems of diverse scope; apply expertise to resolve intermediate to complex issues and is comfortable handling non-standard tasks and queries.
- Respond to internal and external customer requests and may interface with external collaborators on commercial matters.
- Collaborate with other teams to share knowledge and information.
- Provide training to staff as needed.
How to thrive in this role?
- You hold a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- You have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a Laboratory Engineer in the Aerospace industry.
- You have an advanced knowledge of industry specifications (ASTM, AMS and Military Standard).
- You have a strong expertise in quality systems and documentation (ISO 17025).
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a high level of commitment and the ability to work independently in a high-pressure, partner/supplier team environment.
- You have proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
