The BAS Network Training Manager is responsible for the management of design, administration, delivery, evaluation, and maintenance of technical training for Bombardier Service Centers. This includes support of the current and future technical training requirements of all aircraft programs, including evaluation of the needs of internal customers and ability to develop relationships with vendors.

In your role, you will:

- Manage planning, communications and coordination of training and development initiatives

- Create, implement and track project plans for training initiatives.

- Develop learning solutions for technical training.

- Plan, conduct and coordinate learning activities.

- Develops action plans based on needs assessments and conducts “course of action” meetings with senior management, external agencies and supporting departments.

- Develop project plans, schedules, presentations and coordination tools for cross-functional team members and senior management

- Manage the development of Business Aircraft technical training programs through daily interface with training coordinators and technical trainers.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Ensure all technical Aircraft Type courses meet the minimum regulatory requirements of the aircraft country of registry ( FAA, EASA, Transport Canada, JAA, CASA etc.).Evaluate training requirements and identify specific training solutions to support service center network with industry leading training curricula and delivery methods

- Implement safety risk management processes within Training that support the principles of the Safety Management System (SMS)

- Develop budgets based on current and forecasted program requirements

- Plan and coordinate learning activities and training on new process and tools available and develop competencies needed by the performance agents in their new role

- Follow up and measure impact of all learning activities related to performance-based learning process

- Maintain relationships with contract training providers

- Maintain and audit personnel and equipment used to deliver training

- Select, train, manage training personnel and training standards

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

- You have at least 10 years of experience in aviation technical training and 5 years aviation supervisory experience

- You have a Bachelors’ degree from an Aeronautical training institution or equivalent experience in a related field

- You have proven experience in the development of technical training curricula

- You have working knowledge of mechanical / avionics aircraft systems

- You have thorough knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance related regulatory requirements (FAA, TCCA, EASA etc.)

- You have planning and organizational skills necessary to prioritize, assign and coordinate workload of assigned area and employees with a multiple project setting

- You have presentation skills necessary to effectively communicate, update, persuade, and/or facilitate discussions with all levels of management.

- You have working knowledge of accounting and budgeting principals necessary to read and interpret profit/loss statements, financial reports, and meet financial objectives for assigned area and programs

- You have demonstrated leadership skills to manage and supervise employees

- You have working knowledge of current trends and best practices within Technical field

- Yout have the ability to travel periodically in order to support off-site meetings and initiatives

- You have an FAA A&P license
