Overall operational and contractual and commercial responsibility for all onsite third party suppliers, currently focused on facilities management, third party logistics and paint specialist suppliers. Excellent supplier relationship management skills to ensure all performance measures are met, carried out to the correct quality, on time and in a safe and legal manner.

The role currently does not involve the management of a team directly and will be mainly focused in supplier relationship management.


• Daily contract and operational management of all third-party suppliers and personnel on the Derby site;
• Supplier relationship and performance management, undertaking regular KPI reviews, ensuring clear action plans are in place at all times;
• Understand and execute all contractual obligations, ensuring the supplier carries out their work, on time, to the correct level of quality and in a safe and legal manner;
• Lead regular performance reviews, with senior management; providing reporting at all required levels;
• Lead quarterly financial/commercial reviews providing robust forecasting information along with recommendations for future innovation and transformation strategy.


• Educated to a degree level, preferable within Engineering;
• Experience of contract management and delivery, strategic planning and relationship development along with ownership of corrective action planning, and problem resolution plans;
• Experience of working with third party suppliers;
• Experience in Facilities Management industry;
• Experience of Production civil engineering works would be valuable, including project capital investment schemes and ensuring technical compliance and best value;
• Experience in creating project scope documents and defining technical requirements specifications, including performance requirements, operation risk is identified and documented, and handover information is in place for Operations;
• Experience of creating executive summary documents, providing high-level updates on performance and future strategy;
• Ability to interpret and understand complex contracts and be able to articulate them at varying levels depending on the audience;
• Ability to priories and handle complex and challenging workloads;
• Knowledge of Facilities Management contracts and ensuring technical service requirements are established, including statutory PPMs, management of assets and condition, contracted Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and clear performance targets are defined and agreed;
• Exceptional interpersonal, influencing and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate at a senior level;
• English skills: advanced/business fluent level.
