About the role:


Purpose of the job

The Industrialization Manager organizes Methods activities to support manufacturing for a specific product with the adequate technical documentation and ongoing support, fosters Design for Manufacturing and standardization and lead KPI based performance measurement and improvement,
especially in Productivity, Built-in Quality, Standardization and Responsiveness. He/she ensures that build documentation is available for all projects and efficiently managed and version controlled, responsive support of manufacturing is guaranteed at any times and committed budget and cost reduction targets are achieved.

The Electrical Methods Team Leader scope is to manage the following:
• Produce and correct the visual work instruction using standards of times and Health and safety set by Bombardier transportation.
• Read and analyze drawings and electrical harness assembly diagrams
• Validate product conformity “As designed / as planned” including the manufacturability aspect
• Create the MBOM (manufacturing bill of material) in SAP
• Define and create tools to produce, test and transport sub-assemblies
• Perform flattening in Catia of the harnesses 3D models
• Produce documentation for BT internal or supplier production (electrical tools reports and or formboard design)
• Perform and conduct problem solving in order to solve various technical problems.
• Coordinate and integrate client requests and feedback from operational units and sites (internal and/or external)
• Participate in continuous improvement through the Achieving Excellence System (AES);
• Use different systems related to the execution of tasks such as (CATIA, PDM/SAP, ELDA or others Bombardier Transportation tools)
• Perform time studies for internal or external supplier manufacturing validation
• Select manual tooling and provide usage instruction when required
• Manage/validate/optimize table assembly with shop floor layout
• Control and support pre-series manufacturing on-site/supplier production
• Ensures flawless Transfer of Manufacturing, Technology and Responsibility in case of change of move from Make to buy or change of BT
manufacturing site.
• Assure proper local presence of BT method engineers at supplier manufacturing sites for pre-series production phase.
The Industrialization Leader will provide to the bid team the data related to his scope of responsibilities in order to secure best and reliable bids and is responsible for project execution in respect of the bid inputs.

Key responsibilities

Leadership of the whole Electrical methods Team of the above mention activities. Leads in direct line a team of Methods
Engineers and Technicians specialized in the related Product Engine. 35 %

Responsibility for the workload planning per employee and setting of priorities, staff adaption with regards to projects and
company needs as well as the quality of the work performed by the Electrical Methods team. 35 %

Co-develop and roll-out all processes related to Electrical Design, Methods and Operations in coordination with all Project related function, including Mechanical Design, Tooling, Production and Procurement

This in respect of the various related standardization programs, supporting standardization teams (CoEE and RoS Product

4. Support the Bid team during Bid-Phase and Project-Lead during all the Project-Phases 10 %

C. Job Requirements

Qualifications & Functional Knowledge
Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Management skills
Project management skills
Business administration background (economics)
At least 5-8 years of experience in a relevant role.
English fluently
Knowledge of Railways business
Knowledge of the Business
• Knowledge of the railway vehicle market, the commercial and political environment affecting the industry and also knowledge of direct
competitors is an advantage. Deep understanding of how multiple functions contributing to achieving business objectives with focus
operations (assembly).
