What are your contributions to the team?
- Well versed with the knowledge of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and other global trade laws
- Responsible for monitoring programs/systems for the transportation and export of materials
- Prevent regulatory agency-imposed fines on the company and ensure full compliance with all export activity
- File Shipper’s Export declarations, as required
- Constantly evaluate existing controlled materials to ensure proper documentation is available
- Coordinate and/or carry out the proper storage of export-controlled materials
- Monitor SAP generated reporting to ensure export-controlled materials are properly coded
- Update SAP with current export-controlled materials related information, with validating proof of the same
- Provide the network with ECC and Dual-Use Part informational support for shipping activities
- Accurately identify harmonized codes and classify parts for customs clearance, to include HTS, Schedule B, ECCN, COO, etc.
- Determine if gaps exist and assist in the development of protocols and procedures to correct those gaps pertaining to export of ECC and Dual-Use Goods
- Document procedures and maintain detailed logs/records
- Update weekly/monthly metrics as required by management
How to thrive in this role?
- 10 + years Shipping/Receiving, Forwarding, Export of ECC, Dual-Use and ITAR Materials experience
- Thorough knowledge of FAA and Federal Aviation Regulations; DoC and BIS regulations
- Thorough knowledge of ECC and ITAR materials and associated regulatory risks
- Advanced computer and SAP skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Excellent oral and written skills
- Experience working without appreciable direction
- Experience developing technical solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity
- Certified professional in the field (Export Regulations, Export Controlled Materials Transportation) preferred
- Experience in training (hands-on or classroom) preferred
