What are your contributions to the team?
- Adhere to Bombardier General Work Rules
- Develop, advise and report on governance to senior management on product safety matters
- Develop, implement, manage, train and maintain SMS (Safety Management Systems) program across worldwide Bombardier Service centers by onsite and virtual means
- Plan and facilitate regulatory approval of SMS program for all service centers
- Support regulatory audits of service centers in topics involving SMS
- Review product safety hazards, perform risk analysis and develop contingency plans
- Maintain safety register for service centers and facilitate mitigation/corrective actions
- Manage, coordinate and coach and provide direction to service center site safety coordinators
- Assess effectiveness of SMS deployment
- Participate in consultative organizations / groups in the industry and lead and coordinate product safety activities within Bombardier aftermarket
- Manage strategic projects by coordinating multidisciplinary teams and facilitate problem solving work sessions
How to thrive in this role?
- Typically a minimum of 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in the aerospace industry, including in the Maintenance environment
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience in related field
- You are knowledgeable of FAA, EASA and other international CAA SMS related regulations and international standards (SM-0001)
- You have experience with project management principles and tools
- You have experience with risk management principles and tools
- You possess strategic outlook
- You possess leadership skills
- You are innovative
- You possess strong interpersonal skills
- Computer skills necessary to operate Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, etc) as well as e-mail and other software and web based applications
ADDITIONAL DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in project management, aviation regulations
