What are your contributions to the team?
- Lead a team of Program Managers and their respective teams of project managers and program analysts. Guide the team in solving complex business challenges;
- Drive strategic and cross-platform PCRs, providing support to team members and visibility to leadership;
- Oversee and approve business cases for complete portfolio of changes; accountability for strategy and execution of each individual project in the portfolio
- Manage complex unplanned Program issues, and drive resolution;
- Ensure adherence to project schedules and budget targets; Help the team unlock roadblocks and escalations in order to meet commitments.
- Control Program costs (manpower, material, warranty and other direct costs);
- Work in a cross functional environment interacting with all management levels;
- Identify potential problems, risks and opportunities. Manage risks and opportunities by mitigating them along with functional teams;
- Attend and actively engage in Program Management Steering Committee initiatives, supporting the program management faculty development as well as the tools and process roadmap developed.
- Coach employees and support them in their development.
How to thrive in this role?
- You hold a bachelor's degree in engineering, business, project management or relevant and equivalent diploma and at least fifteen (15) or more years of experience in aerospace and/or Program Management;
- You have strong technical knowledge of aircraft and aircraft avionics systems;
- You have strong knowledge of project management;
- You master the Microsoft Office suite and have a very strong aptitude in data management;
- You have good interpersonal, leadership and communication skills;
- You are customer oriented and innovative in problem solving, and have a strong business acumen;
- You show an open mind and a great ability to work in a team;
- You must have a sense of organization; time management and you demonstrate autonomy;
- You are results oriented, and have good negotiations and influencing skills;
- We offer an hybrid work model; ideal candidate can be based in Toronto or Montreal.
