Professional, Engineering – Avionics Systems Test Automation

The candidate will be responsible for the development and testing of software scripts for avionics systems test automation for new aircraft development programs. 

What are your contributions to the team?

  • Be part of the Ground and Flight Test Engineering Group, supporting the coordination and management of ground and flight tests of a new product. 
  • Be responsible for various tasks related to the development and validation of automated test scripts on avionics systems using the SuperScript language. 
  • Develop SuperScript code generation tools using various languages and make them accessible to the systems engineering community. 
  • Develop synchronized data flow gateways on ground test benches in collaboration with system simulation teams. 
  • Develop tools to analyze automated test results through an integrated logbook. 
  • Develop tools for the analysis of automated test results by an interpretation system of the graphical environment of avionics display units. 
  • Collaborate with the Avionics Systems team to identify development and certification test automation needs 
  • Document test cases, procedures, and results for transparency and reproducibility. 
  • Continuously improve test area coverage, tool efficiency, and reliability. 

 

How to thrive in this role?

  • You have a university degree in electrical, electronics, software, aerospace engineering, or equivalent. A masters degree in aerospace engineering is an asset. 
  • You have between 5 and 8 years of experience in the aerospace industry. 
  • You have good analytical and problem-solving skills, and you can troubleshoot and debug complex systems. 
  • You aim for harmonious and coherent teamwork. 
  • You have a solid understanding of software testing principles and methodologies. 
  • You have excellent communication and collaboration skills. 
  • You are proficient in the programming languages Python, C#, C++ and VBA. Previous experience with SuperScript language is an asset. 
  • You are familiar with various serial communication protocols like UART, I2C, CAN, RS-422, ARINC429, etc. 
  • You are familiar with various Ethernet communication protocols like TCP/IP, UDP, ARINC664, etc. Knowledge of TTE protocol is an asset. 
  • You are familiar with various development environments (IDEs) such as Visual Studio, Anaconda, Matlab/Simulink, VAPS-XT, etc.
