Sub-Contractor : Technical Expert - Engineering Stress
As part of the Stress Defense team within the Advanced Engineering group, you will be responsible for structural analysis activities related to military and government programs, as well as specialized civilian missions for Bombardier’s Challenger and Global platforms.
What are your contributions to the team?
- Perform various structural analysis using classical hand analysis methods and finite element analysis on metallic and non-metallic structure.
- Write structural substantiation reports that meet technical requirements for the program and certifying authorities (TCCA/FAA/EASA).
- Develop fatigue missions based on customer’s mission profile requirements.
- Perform fatigue and damage tolerance analysis.
- Build and assemble full-scale GFEMs based on customer missionized configurations.
- Assess primary structure, secondary structure, and flight test installations from a static strength perspective.
- Participate in the definition of customer Proposals for modification programs and/or engineering support activities.
- Provide clear visibility to management of the status and/or emerging issues related to the supported activities.
- Contribute to improving tools and processes.
How to thrive in this role?
- You hold a bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering and a minimum of ten years of relevant experience in the aerospace industry.
- You have previous experience in Aircraft Structural substantiation analysis.
- You have excellent knowledge of regulatory requirements (TCCA/FAA/EASA).
- You are eligible to acquire Canadian Controlled Goods (CGD) clearance
- You have excellent knowledge and experience of structural Damage Tolerance Analysis and of NASGRO software.
- You have experience with certification of composite material is an asset.
- You are a confident, knowledgeable, and energetic person with excellent communication and listening skills that can work in a team environment.
- You have experience using Nastran, Patran and Hyperworks.
