What are your contributions to the team?

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated AI Software Engineer to join our Digital Transformation team. In this role, you will lead the development and deployment of AI and ML solutions aimed at optimizing operational processes across Production, Quality, Methods, Planning, Health & Safety, and Customer Delivery. Your work will directly contribute to greater efficiency, smarter decision-making, and scalable automation within our core systems.

 

•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify high-impact business challenges that can be addressed through AI and ML.
•    Design, develop and maintain modern applications and AI/ML models using Python, React and related frameworks.
•    Automate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes for AI/ML pipelines.
•    Deploy and integrate new and existing AI models into enterprise systems, including SAP S/4HANA.
•    Ensure performance, scalability and responsiveness of AI-powered applications to drive measurable business value.
•    Contribute to model lifecycle management, including monitoring, evaluation and continuous improvement.
•    Maintain clean, modular and well-documented code following best practices.
•    Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements, incorporate feedback, and translate them into effective technical solutions.
•    Stay current on advancements in AI/ML and Software Engineering to proactively introduce relevant innovations to the organization.

How to thrive in this role?

•    5+ years of experience in Software Development, combined with experience in AI/ML Engineering or Operational Research.
•    Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related technical field.
•    Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, PySpark, REST APIs and full-stack integration.
•    Solid understanding and experience implementing ML models, including time series forecasting, predictive analytics, image recognition, and NLP.
•    Proven experience with cloud platforms, with preference to Microsoft Azure, particularly tools like Azure Databricks, AML, AI Foundry, App Services, AKS, Blob Storage, etc. 
•    Proficiency with Agile methodologies, Azure DevOps, and application lifecycle management tools.
•    Knowledge of scripting in Linux or PowerShell.
•    Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and decision-making initiative.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to business stakeholders.
•    Bonus points for experience applying optimization techniques (e.g. linear programming, mixed-integer programming) using tools such as OR-Tools, CPLEX, etc.)
