What are your contributions to the team?
- Responsible for the Full Year End cycle including preparation of Federal and Provincial tax slips and summaries.
- Ensure all transactions are accurately and properly recorded in order to deliver an accurate pay within the deadline.
- Ensure that the rules governing collective agreement and human resource management are correctly enforced.
- Be responsible for monitoring all departmental time entry records.
- Assist employees, supervisors and time approvers with Time questions and concerns.
- Act as a liaison between the various stakeholders both internal and external and the Payroll department.
- Ensure accuracy and the well-functioning of the Time & Attendance system for employee profile including: modifications, absence requests, leaves, Workers compensation, etc.
- Provide recommendation for process improvement;
How to thrive in this role?
- You possess a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or other equivalent major.
- You have three (3) to five (5) years of experience in the field of Payroll.
- You possess pertinent experience and high level of knowledge with conducting the Full Year End cycle and generating year end tax slips and summaries.
- You have excellent communication skills in both official languages in spoken and written French and English.
- You have knowledge with SAP and Workforce.
- You have excellent knowledge of MS Office, Word, PowerPoint and Excel and Outlook (primarily Excel and Word).
- As a team player, you are autonomous and are known for your dynamism, strong interpersonal skills, good judgment, positive attitude and organizational skills.
- You are an organized and structured individual with an eye for detail.
- You are results driven and are comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
- You can work under pressure and can handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- You can maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information at all times.
- You are able to resolve obstacles and challenges in a timely manner and show resourcefulness.
- You are able to perform problem-solving and innovative techniques to analyze information to challenge/propose/question issues and discrepancies.
- You are recognized for your initiative & independent judgment in providing trouble-shooting recommendations regarding intermediate to complex issues.
