Analyst, Strategy & Business Development - Procurement

What are your contributions to the team?

As an Analyst in Strategy and Business Development - Procurement, you will play a pivotal role within the Strategic Supply Chain and Procurement division, specifically in the Methods Transition department. Reporting directly to the leader of supply chain, you will be instrumental in driving strategic initiatives and optimizing procurement processes to support our organization's growth and efficiency.

• Prepare and issue RFQs based on project specifications.

• Gather and organize supplier responses, ensuring completeness.

• Analyze bids based on pricing, quality, lead times, and other key criteria.

• Work with procurement to evaluate and select optimal suppliers.

• Keep accurate records of RFQs, quotes, and supplier communications.

• Build strong supplier relationships to ensure timely, competitive quoting.

• Provide regular reporting on RFQ and bid analysis to management.

• Support supplier negotiations and assist in finalizing terms.

• Contribute to Bombardier’s Supply Chain strategic planning and alignment.

• Lead cross-functional initiatives and report progress to key stakeholders.

How to thrive in this role?

•    You hold an undergraduate degree with a strong concentration in an analytical discipline.
•    Graduate or Master's degree in operations management or a master of business administration (MBA) from a world-class academic institution would be an asset;
•    You have a minimum of five (5) to eight (8) years of professional experience in a strategic environment in the Manufacturing industry;
•    You have strong research & analytical skills with a commitment to rigor and attention to details;
•    You have knowledge of the aerospace industry and contracting processes (an asset);
•    You have ability for synthesis and for presentation of complex information;
•    You have the ability to exercise full discretion in dealing with highly confidential matters;
•    You are able to multi-task under a highly demanding and continuously changing environment;
•    You have the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization (from senior management to staff);
•    You have a strong team spirit and leadership abilities and you demonstrate flexibility;
•    You are able to meet tight deadlines;
•    You are proficient in Intermediate PowerPoint and Advanced Excel;
