Job title: Business Intelligence Analyst – Strategic Inventory Forecasting / Planning and Control

This team is responsible for creating and maintaining our global network of warehouse stocking plan (20+) in line with our service objective and annual budget.  The team is also responsible of generating governance to monitor, control inventory levels and explain variances of core materials management processes.
  
The location for this position could be either Toronto or Montreal (Dorval).  

In this role, you will:

  • Participate in our data transformation with the design, development, and implementation of business intelligence solutions across materials management focused on driving actions in support of our core business objectives.
  • Develop SQL scripts to create reports from our data warehouse (SQL server) or Microsoft Azure Data Lake.
  • Support and develop Python scripts for data transformation (ETL) to reproduce existing analysis tool or to build new ones in collaboration with other business analysts.
  • Develop, improve and maintain our Data Governance tools in Access & Power BI.
  • Facilitate collaborative sessions with cross functional business stakeholders to drive discovery, data analysis, review to gain a more in-depth understanding of problem statements, define business requirements and document the project scope.
  • Lead and/or participate in continuous improvement initiatives to augment the materials management team’s operational processes efficiencies.  
  • Analyze, develop problem statements, and utilize data to drive solutions and insight into our inventory control practices and supply chain processes within a worldwide parts network to improve parts availability and / or inventory turns.
  • Validate all development work for quality and ensure requirements are met with the relevant stakeholders. Conduct walk-through and sign off sessions. 
  • Build and maintain a repository of reusable documentation to support future initiatives and training.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis requirements as needed
     

How to thrive in this role?

  • You hold a Bachelor degree in Computer or Software Engineering, or other related fields combined with 5 or more years of experience in developing business intelligence solutions in a supply chain environment.  
  • Masters or other relevant certification, after-market supply chain management and aerospace industry context knowledge are considered as strong assets.
  • You exhibit a continuous improvement mindset with relevant experience in improving business processes. 
  • You have a passion and strong capacity for big data analytics using relevant technologies to automate, perform data transformation, build business intelligence, and improve analytical insights. 
  • You hold knowledge of core supply chain concepts, processes, and systems. Able to understand how different departments and processes intersect to impact supply chain processes. 
  • You have appropriate interpersonal skills and communication methods to effectively develop presentations, present business cases and communicate to all levels of the organization. 
  • You are comfortable working with big data, cloud-based computing, interacting with IT solutions and technical personnel.  
  • You are proficient with MS Suite (Required), Advance excel (Required), Power BI (Required), Azure Synapse (Required), Python (Required),  SQL (Required), Access (Preferred), R Studio (Preferred) with the ability and excitement to learn new tools. 
  • Occasional travel may be required in this role.  
  • Bilingualism in French and English is mandatory for Montreal, and an asset for Toronto.
