What are your contributions to the team?
- Develop, lead, and oversee the execution of a comprehensive long-term strategy for Engineering Processes and Tools, emphasizing digitalization, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), automation, and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
- Ensure the defined, documented, and aligned development of CAD standards to support the transition to the new digital platform. Integrate the implementation plan for this solution in accordance with the overarching digital strategy supporting new product development platforms and consistent with the PLM long-term vision and strategy.
- Lead cross-functional teams, including those within the Engineering community and Business Information Solutions (BIS), to execute PLM CAD and Digital Transformation initiatives, ensuring adherence to schedule and budget.
- Support engineering business leaders in deploying solutions, providing training, fostering adoption, and guiding the consolidation and decommissioning of legacy tools.
- Lead the development of a new program and engineering roadmap aimed at accelerating product development and reducing capital investment.
- Analyze, identify, and propose improvements to engineering processes by integrating AI as part of the long-term vision.
- Ensure that all proposed digital solutions fully protect Bombardier’s intellectual property when collaborating externally and comply with export control and ITAR requirements.
- Manage priorities across projects and activities to maximize earned value and return on investment.
- Cultivate a culture where emerging technologies drive improvements in current and future engineering activities, adding value to future products.
- Serve as a coach and mentor across various aspects of your projects and related change management initiatives.
- Manage the Process and Tools budget cycle and lead associated financial governance. Provide visibility on monthly actuals, prepare forecasts, and align cross-functional teams to meet financial commitments.
- Assist in preparing the annual strategic plan, defining key initiatives and objectives to support the long-term vision for Process and Tools.
How to thrive in this role?
- You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering.
- You have over 15 years or more of relevant experience in engineering, Program Management, or Product Development
- You have 8 or more years of experience in a leadership position
- You have proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams
- You have demonstrated strong ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of program planning, risk management, and change management methodologies
- You have strong knowledge of Engineering process & tools, Digital Transformation Automation and AI
- You have a strong background in PLM systems, product lifecycle governance, and configuration management. methodologies and associated practices as they apply to aviation
- You are highly recommended, with an international reputation
