In your role, you will
- Be responsible for all operations under a specific area while assuring the alignment of the organization within the philosophy of the Achieving Excellence System (AES).
- Coordinate the different production departments and functions, which assure the support to production.
- Coordinate strategic initiatives as well as cost reduction initiatives.
- Develop and implement regular reviews and governance with Management to ensure harmonization in line with the strategy and the plant’s needs.
- Support the preparation of the production planning calendars and communicate with the departments concerned.
- Develop tools to analyze performance and implement the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) required to ensure the best performance possible.
- Maintain contact with all the sites involved in the Global Aircraft Program.
- Strive towards a healthy management of human resources (unionized and salaried employees) at all levels.
- Assure the continuous improvement of processes, mainly by using problem solving tools.
- Maintain a harmonious relationship with union representatives.
As our ideal candidate
- Possess a university degree in aerospace, engineering, operations management, or possess significant experience that has allowed you to develop strong management skills.
- Have more than ten years of experience in operations management in a unionized manufacturing environment, ideally in the aerospace sector.
- Illustrate your ability to influence in several multifunctional projects and have strong management, leadership and interpersonal relations skills.
- Be familiar with the lean manufacturing principles.
- Are recognized as being a good communicator with the ability to mobilize your employees.
- Are results driven and have excellent organizational skills as well as priority management.
- Be fluently bilingual French-English, both spoken and written.
