In the Systems Engineering Career Path, you will start your journey by building-up your technical knowledge through rotations in up to 5 of the following teams over a 2-year period:
Power Plant
Reliability Maintenance Assurance Safety (RMAS)
Pneumatics and Thermodynamics
Fly by Wire
Control Systems
Flight Test 
Operation Support
 

In your role, you will

  • Build models to estimate temperatures in different zones or compartments of the Aircraft
  • Evaluate pressure drops in various pneumatic pipes networks and extract Flight Test data to perform model validation
  • Develop in-house tools to solve various Thermo and heat transfer related issues 
  • Participate in creating computational fluid dynamics models and support system rig and ground/flight test activities
  • Support the RMAS interaction (system functional hazard analysis, aircraft & system fault tree analysis, system safety assessment, and failure mode) within various BA functions, integrators, and Design Approval Designees as well as Transport Canada
  • Interpret technical specifications for aircraft systems and conduct technical investigations in order to analyze solutions and prepare reports
  • Participate in the technical definition and integration of Hydro-mechanical devices from design phase, certification and testing to production implementation 
  • Take part in engineering support for in-service issues (Corrective Action Requests) and assist product support group for product improvements

As our ideal candidate

  • You have less than 2 years of post-graduation work experience
  • You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, or other related field)—completed in 2023 or will be completed by May 2024
  • You have a passion and unrelenting desire to learn about aviation 
  • You have an innovative mindset and are eager to take on new challenges in dynamic environment
  • You are motivated and enjoy working in a collaborative team player who strives for success 
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French
  • You have knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Suite
  • You are eligible to work in Canada and to travel to the United States for a 3-month assignment
  • Knowledge of programming languages: Python, C/C++, MATLAB or other is an asset
  • Previous internship in the aviation industry is an asset
