What are your contributions to the team?

  • Report into the Director of Airframe Structures Design from a day-to-day basis and to the VP of Advanced Engineering as a member of the office of the fellows.
  • Work with Engineering Functional Leadership, Heads of Design and Experimental teams.
  • Provide technical leadership to support primary company goals including new program development, production ramp-up, design for cost, cost improvement initiatives and in-service fleet performance improvements
  • Provide technical guidance to technology acquisition programs
  • Work with functional, platform and aircraft testing leaders to achieve successful implementation and testing across flight, ground, and supplier operations
  • Drive and oversee the structural and systems integration through the entire development process, from aircraft structures to system installations.
  • Oversee one or more projects requiring high levels of integration or coordination with multiple departments, functions and suppliers
  • Act as an engineering representative with key Business and Supplier Leadership Teams
  • Integrate across multiple engineering disciplines to resolve critical technical issues.

How to thrive in this role?

  • You have a University Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering.
  • You possess a minimum of 20 years’ experience in Aircraft Structural Design and in Aircraft level Systems Installations and Integration, including demonstrated experience across multiple disciplines
  • You have demonstrated experience in leading IPDTs on one or more aircraft development programs.
  • You have experience communicating with executive level and external stakeholders.
  • Experience as Transport Canada DAD or FAA DER is an asset.
  • Ability to integrate across multiple engineering disciplines to resolve problems
  • Leadership and decision making capability.
  • Track record of innovation
