Overall role description

Located at the administrative center in Dorval, you will work within a team and report to the Manager, Finance System Expert of the Bombardier Aerospace business. In collaboration with the finance teams, you will participate in the financial controlling of Aerospace business. What are your contributions to the team?

  • Coordinate the functioning and overall governance of the Cadency and OneStream Center of Excellence, System Expert Team in the organization responsible to maintain Bombardier’s record-to-report financial controls system.
  • Align Cadency and OneStream stakeholders to make decisions regarding the continuous improvement of the Cadency system and implement its associated processes, procedures, policies and standardized reports.
  • Build own expertise as a Core Super User of the Cadency system and OneStream, for both end-user and system administrator functionalities for all Modules.
  • Develop the OneStream system for future enhancements to gain benefit from other relevant OneStream marketplace solutions available.
  • Build expertise as a S4HANA Super User and support S4HANA Implementation in areas such as data testing, user acceptance testing and training development and provide training to support end user training.
  • Liaise with master data representatives of other finance systems to define and apply finance-wide systems standardization via the update of tools, processes, and standards.
  • Work with other finance application System Administrators to maintain system, improve procedures, define guidelines, and govern system enhancements.
  • Gather feedback and schedule system-related governance events, for audiences such as super user communities and business leaders.
  • Manage the assessment of impacts for system upgrades or other upcoming enhancements.
  • Work with stakeholders to track system & training enhancement needs and other impacts.
  • Plan, prepare, review, and send system and process-related communications.
  • Capture system impacts, update training material and plan and deliver training events.
  • Perform Data Validations between systems.
  • Support discussions with support and technical teams to resolve errors and issues.
  • All other related controlling tasks and projects and support broader team.

How to thrive in this role?

  • You possess a minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience, preferably in a multinational company or large-scale manufacturing company.
  • You have a bachelor’s degree with major in Information of Technologies, Finance or Computer Engineering.
  • You are able to manage remote collaboration across global teams
  • You are proficient in developing and optimizing training presentations, step by step procedures and videos.
  • You have experience in creating communications plans, content and coordinating the distribution of communications.
  • You have proficient spoken and written communication skills in both French and English.
  • You have great knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Macros, PowerPoint and Word).
  • You have experience in administering a financial system for an organization or any other equivalent experience.
  • You have hands-on experience of the major Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) tool such as Financial Consolidation Software would be considered an asset (i.e. OneStream) including knowledge of Balance Sheet, Income Statement.
  • You have knowledge of Trintech Cadency record to report software or Blackline which would be considered an asset.
  • You have knowledge of SAP and S/4HANA would be considered an asset.
  • You have knowledge of Power BI Tool, and VB.Net would be considered an asset.
