ITSM Software Asset Manager

In your role, you will

• Manage Bombardier software licenses and where possible, avoid unnecessary spend.
• Control existing licenses ensuring there are no breaches in contract.
• Ensure Bombardier licensing controls are in place and are effective, ensuring compliance with vendor contracts.
• Analyses software assets deployed throughout the organization.
• Ensure license requirements are fully understood by all relevant departments.
• Liaise with the other infrastructure & departments, specifically Procurement & Finance, to ensure all items are correctly recorded.
• Conducts internal reviews (audits) on selected software vendors to ensure they are ‘audit ready’
• Research new license types and trends that may impact the organization.
• Responsible in capturing/Adding software assets into a database or SAM tool.
• Administer the tools and technologies as required to support recording of license entitlement and re-harvesting.
• Responsible to produce standard SAM reports, and to monitor software license utilization, entitlements, compliancy.
• First point of contact for software asset requests & licensing related questions.
• Support in the population of the CMDB and auditing to maintain accuracy.
• Ensure Bombardier is always AUDIT ready. 
• Respond to queries on entitlement, process, and governance.
• Support vendor entitlement audits as required.
• Maintain Configuration Items naming conventions, identification standards for object types, environment, processes, etc.
• Management of software libraries, toolset and data, ensuring housekeeping and maintenance is undertaken.
• Be responsible for implementing software asset management policy and standards governing and ensuring maintenance and integrity of the software asset and configuration information including Items required to deliver technology service, including their relationships within a Configuration Management Database. 

As our ideal candidate

• You have 5 years of hands-on experience as an ITSM Software Asset manager working with SAM PRO in Service Now. 
• You have 5 years of experience in managing software license life cycle at an overall organization level.
• You have good knowledge of SAM standards such as ISO 19770-1/ ISO 19770-2/ ISO 19770—3.
• You have a University Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant technical degree.
• You have good knowledge of SAM & CMDB applications & modules in ServiceNow.
• You have ServiceNow CIS-Software asset management certification (preferred).
• You have outstanding communication skills – Written and Verbal, in English and/or French
• You have expertise on Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
