Intern, Airframe structure design, Research and Technology
Our team
Our team works within the engineering department in Research and Technology.
Responsible for the structure design and systems installation, we work to define products that meet energy efficiency criteria, from the advanced design phase to entry into service.
What are your contributions to the team?
- Work in the Research and Technology engineering team at Bombardier
- Design and model aircraft structural components
- Prepare and assess feasibility of technical trade studies
- Participate in problem solving activities and provide technical solutions
- Interact with multi-disciplinary specialists (stress, aerodynamics, systems, etc.)
During your internship, you will learn:
- How to use software like Teamcenter, Siemens NX and others
- Practice soft skills: communication, influence, problem solving, …
- How a new product is developed, from conceptual design to entry in service
How to thrive in this role?
- You are currently in the process of completing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
- You have experience with CAD systems. CATIA V5 or NX is an asset.
- You have general knowledge of airframe structure.
- You are familiar with MS Office suite.
- You are autonomous, result-driven and enthusiastic with strong work ethics.
- You are proactive and you can navigate in an evolving environment.

- Duration: 8 months
- Virtual or on site
It is important to note that our internship opportunities are open to students only, not new graduates. All our interns may be required to occasionally travel outside of Canada for training/work purpose.
