During your internship, you will contribute to:

  • Work on one or more of the following avionics systems: AFCS, Communication (VHF, HF, SATCOM, Datalink), Navigation (ADF, VOR, ILS, DME, TCAS, Transponder, IRS, GPS, FMS, Weather Radar), Displays (EFIS, EICAS, HUD, SVS), Information/Maintenance & Recording (IMS, OMS, Data load, CVR, FDR, AHMS).
  • Assist an experienced integrator to define and manage the systems and subsystems requirements to ensure safety, certification & aircraft design requirements and objectives are met.
  • Work with the system suppliers as well as other interfacing suppliers and disciplines on the program to ensure the system is properly designed to be integrated smoothly on the aircraft.
  • Write reports and documentation to support avionics system certifications.
  • Support ARP4754A system and aircraft requirement verification and validation.
  • Support the Final Assembly Line and In-Service Aircrafts for any design related issues.

During your internship, you will learn:

  • The process for managing design changes within a large‑scale engineering organization
  • The many aspects of aircraft lifecycle management
  • Requirements management
  • Priority management and time management

What we are looking for:

  • You have completed 3rd year of a 4-year program in Electrical, Electronics, Software, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
  • You have knowledge with specification, function, integration and testing related to Avionics systems
  • You have knowledge on how avionics systems integrate and interact to the overall aircraft
  • You have knowledge with the industry standards DO-178, DO-160 and ARP4754 (Asset)
  • You have strong communication skills (oral and written)
  • You have strong work planning structure and prioritization
  • You have the ability to work well in a team environment
