What are your contributions to the team?
As a student intern, you will support the Project Leader as part of the modernization of the Bombardier Engineering System (BES). You will contribute to the strategic development and deployment of new engineering processes, digital tools, and structured technical content, supporting enterprise level transformation initiatives.
In your role, you will:
- Support BES strategic project activities, including planning, documentation, follow up of actions, and status tracking;
- Assist in the development and documentation of engineering processes, governance models, and deployment strategy;
- Contribute to tool enablement activities, including testing, validation, and user support materials;
- Support structured content and data preparation activities using XML and web based technologies;
- Participate in workshops and working sessions with engineering and IT stakeholders;
- Perform investigations, analysis, and synthesis of information to support decision making and continuous improvement.
How to thrive in this role?
As our ideal candidate,
- You have completed at least two (2) years of a Bachelor’s degree, or one (1) year of a Master’s degree, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline;
- You have hands on experience or academic exposure to Unix / Linux, XML, HTML, Web design or web-based development;
- Familiarity with Teamcenter or other PLM systems is an asset;
- Interest in learning S1000D or DITA specifications is an asset;
- You are comfortable communicating in English and French;
- You are curious and motivated to learn, analytically and detail oriented, well organized and able to manage multiple tasks, and comfortable working in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.
