Our team (Control Laws/Stability and Control - Claws/S&C) is responsible for ensuring appropriate aircraft flight characteristics. Key activities include designing/developing and testing Fly-by-Wire (FBW) flight control laws for the next generation Bombardier Aircrafts. Moreover, the team contributes to the development of new or derivative aircraft (including missionized aircraft) and supports continued airworthiness of in-service aircraft. The team also actively participates in flight testing activities and closely interacts with regulatory authorities to ensure safety and compliance to airworthiness requirements.

During your internship, you will contribute to:

  • Develop and implement in Matlab/Simulink control laws and pertinent tools.
  • Run simulations and analyze data using the implemented techniques within the flight control laws algorithms.
  • Develop design and analysis codes, prepare professional PowerPoint presentations and document the work performed in an official technical Bombardier memo.

What we are looking for:

  • is currently completing a master’s degree or PhD in Aerospace or Control Systems Engineering
  • is proficient in Matlab/Simulink advanced programming.
  • has basic knowledge of C and C++ programming.
  • is familiar control techniques.
  • understands the basics of aircraft flight dynamics and flight control systems.

It is important to note that our internship opportunities are open to students only, not new graduates. All our interns may be required to occasionally travel outside of Canada for training/work purpose.
