What are your contributions to the team?
Our Cyber Security organization protects Bombardier against emerging threats, drives the development of security policies and standards, supports major IT and business initiatives, manages application and infrastructure vulnerabilities, and empowers employees through awareness and training.
As an intern, you will contribute directly to enhancing Bombardier’s global cyber resilience.
What You Will Do
During your internship, you will gain hands‑on experience across multiple cybersecurity domains by supporting:
- Assist in monitoring and triaging security events, alerts, and incidents.
- Participate in threat analysis, investigation, and escalation activities.
- Support improvements in detection, response, and monitoring processes.
- Assist in identifying, tracking, and reporting vulnerabilities across applications, endpoints, and infrastructure.
- Support remediation follow‑ups and contribute to risk assessments.
- Support the development and maintenance of security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Support the development, modification, and implementation of cyber security architecture within an international company.
What You Will Learn
- How cybersecurity enables business operations and protects aircraft, data, and systems.
- Core cyber domains: IAM, vulnerability management, SOC operations, compliance, and governance.
- How large organizations implement and maintain security controls aligned with industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
- Cross-functional collaboration with business units, engineering, and IT teams.
- Exposure to enterprise tools such as SIEM, IAM platforms, and Endpoint Security.
How to thrive in this role?
- Currently enrolled in a program in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with IT systems, networks, and operating systems.
- Familiarity with security fundamentals like “CIA triad, Common attack vectors, Basic exposure to CVEs, CVSS scores, or vulnerability scanning concepts, and Incident Response Fundamentals of triage, containment, and escalation steps”
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
- Effective communicator in French and English (oral and written).
- Strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and documentation.
- High‑level exposure to frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls is an asset.
- Knowledge of project management principles is an asset.
