What are your contributions to the team?

  • As part of your position, you will be called upon to:

    • Program and execute simulated flights and flight maneuvers using the autopilot and hand console and operate the flight simulator during testing.
    • Ensure the application of the simulated aerodynamic load profile on the flight control surfaces using the load control system. Design and deploy these aerodynamic load profiles according to the requirements for each test.
    • Ensure sensor calibration and recording of flight data and sensors using the data acquisition system
    • Perform the processing, reduction, cross-referencing and synchronization of data from the various on-board flight recorders and the data acquisition system.
    • Actively collaborate with the flight test team to maintain the synchronization of on-board system configurations between the flight test drones and the ISTR, reproduce failures and flight conditions.
    • Design, fabricate and install test subsystems (hardware and software) to support the problem-solving process and test execution in accordance with requirements.
    • Actively participate in the design of the fault injection system in the experimental flight controller and servo controls.
    • Maintain the ISTR logbook, write test procedures, checklists and test reports.
    • Actively participate in the design of the interface with a reconfigurable full-scale flight simulator to support the first studies of pilot inputs in control laws.
    • Maintain all systems (hardware and software) and deploy configuration changes
