What are your contributions to the team?
- Work in conjunction with the Interior Designer and Showroom Manager, assist in the creation and coordination of the customer presentation package, the presentation package includes interior / industrial design concepts, color boards, veneer and carpet samples, material specifications, accessory list, loose equipment list and exterior paint concepts related to each project in work.
- Participate with the Interior Designer in the production development of customer specific design details.
- Procurement confirmation of dye lots of materials and soft goods, and any delivery related issues or activities.
- Support the Showroom Manager in daily maintenance and upkeep of samples in the Laurent Beaudoin Completion Center showrooms, meet with suppliers occasionally to assist in the maintenance of fabric/ sample collections/ and assist in general daily tasks to support the Design team.
How to thrive in this role?
- You are pursuing a University and/or Collegial degree in Interior or Industrial Design, or Engineering or other related field.
- You are familiar with the fundamentals of design, color theory, presentation materials and finish & fabric selection
- You have great organizational skills, good interpersonal skills and team spirit. You are flexible, professional and proactive, can work autonomously and are detailed oriented.
- You possess a comprehensive knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Outlook
- You are autonomous, organized and have strong analytical skills
- You have strong customer service skills
- You are fully bilingual in French and English (spoken and written)
- You can work with a minimum level of supervision and be proactive in proposing solutions and improvements

It is important to note that our internship opportunities are open to students only, not new graduates. All our interns may be required to occasionally travel outside of Canada for training/work purpose.
