What are your contributions to the team?
- Performing as the liaison between Business stakeholders and the Data Analytics team for project delivery.
- Engaging with various business stakeholders to identify opportunities where artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and reporting dashboards can drive positive impact, fostering a data-driven enterprise.
- Under the mentorship of a seasoned Product Owner, translating business requirements into technical specifications for the data engineers, AI and ML developers.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including various IT groups (App owners, Solution Architects, Developers) and business units, to ensure the seamless delivery of Data & Analytics solutions.
- Partnering with the data governance team and enterprise data architects to ensure solutions adhere to governance principles and align with the data glossary.
- Implementing new process and/or simple tools that can help better manage the delivery of data products.
- Maintaining our features and user stories in the DevOps tool.
During your internship, you will learn:
- The architecture and operation of a modern data platform (Lakehouse).
- The principles of agile software development with DevOps and CICD methodology.
- The fundamentals elements of cloud data solutions
- Converting business requirements into technical solutions
- Communication between business unit users, solution architects, and developers
- The necessary test and validation methods before a data solution is deployed into production
- Key security elements in the development of data solutions
- The importance of data governance to accelerate the delivery of data solutions, including artificial intelligence solutions.
How to thrive in this role?
- You are enrolled in an undergraduate (final year) or graduate university program in computer science, engineering, or other applied science programs.
- Tech-savvy MBA students would be well qualified for the role.
- You have practical experience of software engineering principles, including use of agile management & DevOps tools.
- You are an expert user of Excel and PowerPoint
- You are bilingual capable to communicate (speaking) in French and English with both technical and non-technical people.
- You are a problem-solver and a solution proposer.
- You have knowledge of data visualization tools would be an asset.
- You have knowledge of modern data solutions would be an asset (cloud, lakehouse).
