Internship in Tools Programming and Project Management 

Our Team

The Strategy, Governance and Engineering Skills Management (SGESM) team is an innovative team with the following mission: Develop and execute a comprehensive plan that ensures the Engineering, Program Management Office (PMO) & Defense organization has the industry’s best talent that will allow it to meet its objectives.

 

What are your contributions to the team?

·         Support project managers in all their initiatives.

·         Implement and maintain essential tools for project management and long-term maintenance of initiatives, including VBA programming, PowerBI, and SharePoint page programming.

·         Contribute to the development and execution of engineering training programs and workshops.

·         Communicate project schedules and progress to cross-functional teams.

·         Assist in keeping project and task statuses up to date for reporting to senior management.

·         Coordinate high-visibility projects within engineering.

You will learn:

·         Develop project management skills for engineering

·         Improve your knowledge in applications/software, Sharepoint, PowerBI, VBA

·         Participate in project follow-up and continuous improvement meetings

·         How a large engineering group with a large number of specialties is managed and structured

 

How to thrive in this role?

·         Currently studying towards a Bachelor's degree in Administration or Engineering.

·         Have a strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, VBA language, PowerBI, and SharePoint.

·         Be self-motivated and proactive, Be organized and detail-oriented, Be able to express ideas clearly and precisely.

·         Establish and maintain good working relationships with colleagues.

·         Have good written and oral communication skills in English.

It is important to note that our internship opportunities are open to students only, not new graduates. All our interns may be required to occasionally travel outside of Canada for training/work purpose.
