What are your contributions to the team?

  • Develop a detailed plan to support the sector's master plan by ensuring that planning tools are updated;
  • Communicate its sector plan and amendments;
  • Monitor and measure the adhesion to the plan of its sectors (Cycles and hours of delay);
  • Analyze the production cycle at the detailed plan level (per workstation) in order to monitor the progress of the activities of the final assembly and manufacturing line;
  • Analyze the deviations from production plans and propose solutions by applying planning strategies;
  • Understand the labor plan, component demand plan, work progress report, rate summary, positions, Industrial Engineering revenues and learning curve;
  • Coordinate recovery plan in situations of non-compliance or delay on the production line;
  • Participate in the development and implementation of different logistics strategies for all activities related to the finishing of interiors and which support production needs;
  • Plan the work to meet the planned day-to-day operations based on the capacity, plant constraints and profitability objectives of the company;
  • Support the process of managing changes affecting the product and translate these changes into detail plans;
  • Interact with several functions (production, internal and supply logistics, methods, industrial engineering and quality);
  • Participate in improvement projects (Achieving Excellence, 5S, Cost Reduction, Value-Added Production, etc.).

How to thrive in this role?

  • You are studying for a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or operations and logistics management
  • You must have a sense of organization and you are autonomous.
  • You have good analytical, planning, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • You demonstrate strong communication skills and are results-oriented while having a team spirit.
  • You are very efficient in using the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project).
  • You demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and are fluent in Both French and English.

It is important to note that our internship opportunities are open to students only, not new graduates. All our interns may be required to occasionally travel outside of Canada for training/work purpose.
