What are your contributions to the team?
Reporting to the Section Chief, Interior Finishing Engineering, the intern will contribute to design, production support, and continuous improvement activities for Bombardier's Paint & Placards systems. The mandate will focus on supporting the team in harmonizing practices across platforms, optimizing engineering processes, and maintaining technical product definition.
- Participate in the design and modification of Paint & Placards components using CATIA and product lifecycle management tools.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of technical documentation, engineering drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs).
- Collaborate with manufacturing, integration, methods, and certification teams to resolve technical issues.
- Perform comparative analyses across different aircraft platforms to identify opportunities for standardization and process improvement.
- Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support technical project activities and coordinate actions across multiple stakeholders.
- Develop tools, metrics, and dashboards to improve team efficiency and performance.
- Document and share best practices to promote harmonization of work methods across programs.
How to thrive in this role?
As our ideal candidate,
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- You have a strong interest in design, systems integration, and manufacturing environments.
- You have knowledge of CATIA V5 or other 3D modeling software.
- You demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- You are recognized for your rigor, autonomy, and proactive mindset.
- You enjoy teamwork and collaboration within a multidisciplinary environment.
- You possess strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.
- Knowledge of Excel, Power BI, or data analysis tools is considered an asset.
