What are your contributions to the team?

  • Contribute to resolving various legal matters and provide legal support to members of the in-house litigation team on files involving contentious or potentially contentious issues by gathering facts, speaking with potential witnesses, responding to document requests and undertakings, analyzing issues, and identifying risks.
  • Attend depositions as required, compile undertakings, create timelines, and summarize transcripts.
  • Participate in document review and conduct searches using our artificial intelligence platform (i.e., Relativity).
  • Conduct legal research using various sources (legislation, the Civil Code, case law, legal doctrine, etc.) on a range of legal topics related to civil and commercial law and private international law, and communicate findings to the legal team in writing or through oral presentations.
  • Assist lawyers in preparing files for hearings and trials, including conducting interviews with custodians and organizing data collection.
  • Prepare and draft correspondence and legal documents, such as letters and document preservation notices.
  • Organize and maintain litigation files and records.
  • Attend various meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
  • Gain insight into what an in-house legal career is like within a large publicly traded company.

  • You are enrolled in a program leading to a Diploma of College Studies (DCS) in Paralegal Technoloy.
  • You are a Canadian citizen or have the required immigration permit/status to work full-time at Bombardier.
  • You have an interest in civil and commercial law.
  • You are enthusiastic about working alongside skilled and motivated lawyers in the fast-paced environment required by a global company operating in a cutting-edge industry.
  • You are bilingual in English and French and have strong writing skills.
  • You are able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams that may include lawyers, engineers, sales professionals, and marketing or strategy analysts.
  • You have strong active listening skills.
