Overview

Bombardier is seeking an Internal Auditor to support our Internal Audit team with Data Analytics. The Finance Analyst will report to the Internal Audit Director and be supported by the Senior Data Analytics Analyst. This position represents a great opportunity to be directly involved in the company’s data analytics and put your talent at work into building a best-in-class organization that will drive reliable and consistent financial performance of Bombardier Inc.

What are your contributions to the team?

  • Support data analytics initiatives to enhance audit effectiveness.
  • Support the design and implementation of automated solutions and BI tools to streamline audit processes.
  • Independently engage with cross-functional teams to gather data and identify control gaps.
  • Support audit mandates and performs financial control testing with a focus on continuous improvement and risk mitigation.
  • Support projects execution based on a risk assessment.
  • Develop effective partnerships while maintaining audit independence and objectivity in all assignments.
  • Develop data visualization reports (e.g. Power BI) to present information in a credible, compelling way.
  • Contribute to the audit and advisory engagements by putting forward and executing data analysis scripts designed to increase the quality and efficiency of audits, in accordance with latest industry standards and changing practices.
  • Coordinate data extraction and updates in the source systems.
  • Support Data Analytics in any ad hoc required projects.

How to thrive in this role?

  • You possess a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and have five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • You hold a professional accountant designation (CPA or CIA) or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, and data analysis and visualization tools (e.g.Power BI).
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL, Databricks, Lakehouse, ACL, Alteryx, an asset.
  • You have a strong understanding of business risks and analytical skills to evaluate areas of risks and to develop appropriate solutions.
  • You possess knowledge of auditing frameworks such as COSO, COBIT.
  • You are fluent in French and English, both verbally and in writing.
  • You are organized and manage time efficiently, while working toward aggressive deadlines.
  • You have excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • You have experience in project management.
  • You are a team player.
  • You demonstrate the ability to think both analytically and creatively.
  • You are detail oriented.
  • You can travel when required (10% of the time)
