What are your contributions to the team?

•    Set the objectives for the team based on aftermarket strategy aligned between Procurement Commodities and Bombardier Aftermarket Internal Partners
•    Prioritize resource allocation and team support towards achievement of annual objectives.
•    Coach and develop team members.
•    Conduct performance evaluations and personal development plans with team members.
•    Work closely with the Procurement and Parts Services leadership teams.
•    Create networks externally and internally, such as Maintenance Engineering, Parts Services, In-Service Supplier Management, Intervention, Procurement Commodities, Legal Services, Program Management, to ensure alignment and support for the team.
•    Develop a strategy and road-map of cross-functional initiatives for the aftermarket by aligning priorities between key internal stakeholders such as Procurement and Bombardier Customer Services, Technical Services and Aftermarket Sales and Revenue.
•    Lead the definition of a strategic sourcing process for the aftermarket and secure buy-in from key internal stakeholders.
•    Lead the development of after-market category profiling.
•    Develop a team to lead an end-to-end contract process for aftermarket products and services: RFI/RFP, contract negotiations, SLAs, with an increased focus on Repair & Overhaul activities.
•    Oversee the approach and negotiation strategy to drive contractual compliance that would include the preparation of business cases and harmonized mandates.
•    Oversee the development of alternate sources of supply and establish strategic alliances (e.g. Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA), etc.).
•    Collaborate with the Commodity Procurement, Sites and/or Business Units to determine the optimal aftermarket solution.
•    Review aftermarket category spend and develop cost reduction strategies.
•    Align aftermarket cost reduction strategies with corporate level cost reduction goals.
•    Provide guidance and support Commodities and/or Business Units in the application of contractual remedies and/or the resolution of contractual compliance issues.
•    Ensure the achievement of results to balanced scorecard objectives, team’s master plans and detailed plans.
•    Support the team in complex aftermarket contracts negotiations and escalate as appropriate
 

How to thrive in this role?

•    You have a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business administration, Engineering or equivalent and ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of relevant experience.
•    You are recognized for your leadership and innovation and have a proven track record in coordinating and managing a team.
•    You have extensive experience in strategic sourcing / category management and budgeting.
•    You have extensive aerospace contract drafting and negotiation experience; experience in negotiating services contracts a strong asset.
•    You have experience in deploying and managing multi-functional cost reduction programs.
•    You have experience in the aerospace industry in Customer Services & Aftermarket and/or manufacturing environment and/or programs management in a commercial role.
•    You have proven experience in complex project management and excellent negotiation skills in the areas such as Direct Maintenance costs, fixed cost of repairs, parts performance and reliability, Program Change Management, and other contractual commercial issues.
•    You have strong capabilities in operational, commercial and financial management.
•    You have a high proficiency and are good communicator in French and English (written and spoken).
•    You have strong capabilities in operations and financial management.
•    You have advanced knowledge in the Microsoft Office environment (MS Project, Word, Excel, Power Point and MS Outlook.)
•    You have experience in SAP and Quickbase
