What are your contributions to the team?
- Define and execute a multi-year strategy and roadmap for the Data Integration & BI CoE, aligned with organizational objectives and industry leading practices.
- Build and lead a high-performing team of data pipeline developers, data modelers, BI developers, and platform specialists, fostering innovation, collaboration and continuous learning.
- Set clear performance objectives for the team, track team progress, and implement development plans to maintain high engagement and achievement.
- Oversee the build and operational support of the enterprise data platform (Lakehouse, data warehouse), ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of ELT/ETL pipelines, data flows, and reporting solutions using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Power BI.
- Ensure technology selection, deployment, and lifecycle management for all data integration and BI tools.
- Enforce data management in accordance with security, privacy and data governance directives, to ensure data quality, integrity, and regulatory compliance.
- Enable the use of self-service analytics platforms and empower business analysts through training, documentation, and support.
- Cultivate a community of practice for BI and data integration, promoting knowledge sharing and peer learning.
- Develop and oversee a cost-effective support model for data solutions, balancing internal and external resources to meet SLAs.
- Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), ROI, and the impact of data initiatives.
- Manage budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships as needed.
- Partner with business leaders to identify high-impact opportunities for data integration and analytics.
- Communicate complex technical concepts and insights to non-technical stakeholders, supporting data-driven decision-making.
How to thrive in this role?
- You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- You have 8+ years of experience in data integration, analytics, or data platform management, with at least 3 years in a leadership or CoE management role.
- You have proven expertise in Lakehouse architecture, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Power BI.
- You have a strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and cloud data platforms.
- You have experience with software development, with a strong understanding of DevOps practices, data governance, and regulatory compliance.
- You have the demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and manage complex, cross-functional projects.
- You have proven experience in managing both project deliveries and operational support.
- You are skilled in creating impactful presentations with PowerPoint.
- You possess excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change-leadership skills.
- You demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English within a professional setting
- Certifications in Azure, Databricks, Power BI, or project management are considered assets.
