What are your contributions to the team?

In your role, you will lead a team responsible for the programs’ organization process & tools. Working with different stakeholders, your team is responsible to map, standardize, improve, and document in various BMs (Bombardier Manuel) the Programs processes. You will implement a Programs toolbox including new IT tools to support the Programs needs.

You and your team will provide a strategic, consulting, and administrative support while preparing presentations and you will assume an oversight role during the meetings. You will be responsible for implementing a program toolbox including new IT tools in line with the group's needs. Finally, you will be responsible for setting up the Program Academy aimed at developing the core competencies of the program analysts. In your role, you will, as a member of the Bombardier Management team:
 

  • Lead the Programs IT portfolio in order to support improvement initiatives, aligned with the business PLM (Life Cycle Management) strategy;
  • Map the business processes of the program function by working closely with engineering, procurement, methods, customer service, finance, etc.;
  • Support kaizen activities to reduce product change cycle time (PCR);
  • Compile IT tool requirements from the different program teams and develop specifications for the development of new IT tools while ensuring standardization among Programs teams;
  • Define a master plan for the development and revision of the Bombardier Manuals (BM) for the programs function;
  • Deploy the Programs Faculty including a curriculum of courses aligned with the progression of program analysts of the different groups;
  • Develop training modules and train the program analysts;
  • Be responsible for the employee performance management program (PMP) completion and employee communications. 
  • Maintain key technical and managerial skills of the entire team. 
  • Assist employees in achieving their professional and business development goals
     

How to thrive in this role?

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
  • You have a strong understanding of the programs processes
  • You have a minimum ten (10) years of experience in program management, business development, and/or strategic planning
  • You have experience in project management as well as knowledge of aircraft development cycle.
  • You have good presentation skills and are attentive to details
  • You have excellent bilingual oral and written communication skills
  • You have both strong organizational and leadership skills
  • You have logical and flexible mindsets, show initiatives, and demonstrate overview/detailed approaches.
