What are your contributions to the team?

• Actively participate in New Product Development (NPD) activities at the platform level, contributing to concept definition, feasibility assessments, and design maturity.
• Support aircraft design activities and concepts throughout the BES phases while promoting Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Cost (DFC) to ensure efficient, producible, and cost-effective solutions.
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement optimal manufacturing and assembly technologies while balancing performance, cost, and schedule requirements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to review, validate, and implement technical solutions for mechanical and electrical systems.
• Review and provide input on Functional Test Engineering Requirements (FTERs) to ensure system reliability, safety, and compliance.
• Define and specify Ground Support Equipment (GSE/SGSE) requirements to support testing, validation, and maintenance activities.
• Lead configuration management activities for ground test rigs and experimental flight test installations, including documentation control, change tracking, and database updates.
• Prepare detailed technical reports by analyzing engineering drawings, parts, and assemblies using CAD tools and digital systems.
• Support the integration and validation of mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring proper functionality across subsystems.
• Develop and implement robust testing strategies, including verification and validation plans, to ensure product performance meets design intent and certification requirements.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and standardization to enhance efficiency, quality, and repeatability across programs.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance within the team by sharing best practices and lessons learned to strengthen overall team capability.
• Contribute to risk assessments and mitigation planning throughout program development to support on-time and on-budget program delivery.

How to thrive in this role?

• You hold a university degree in Manufacturing, Aeronautical, or Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent college diploma in Aircraft Manufacturing or Aerospace Technology.
• You have 7+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, including aircraft systems integration, New Product Development (NPD), industrialization, and entry-into-service activities.
• You possess strong knowledge of aircraft systems, including Fly-By-Wire (FBW), mechanical systems, avionics, manufacturing processes, assembly methods, and production constraints.
• You have experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and suppliers, to achieve project objectives and resolve complex technical challenges.
• You have practical experience with PFMEA, risk management, testing, validation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives in an aerospace environment.
• You are proficient with Microsoft Office tools and CAD software such as CATIA, and you can interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• You have a working knowledge of aerospace regulatory requirements, including FAA, EASA, and Transport Canada standards, and understand their impact on manufacturing and testing activities.
• You are a results-driven professional with strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, and a demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and meeting project deadlines.
• You hold, or are working toward obtaining, an AME B1, B2, or C license, which would be considered an asset.
