In your role, you will
Weekend, Day shift
- Take ownership of technical problem solving with support from other departments;
- Provide technical support to the day-to-day operations of the production department;
- Investigate root causes of problems and analyze potential solutions by evaluating the costs, impacts and risks of a change in production;
- Be on the lookout for ways to improve manufacturing and fabrication strategies and take part in research and development projects;
- Define, validate and correct assembly or repair and/or manufacturing specifications for the production of aircraft components;
- Interpret or approve drawings and other documents from the engineering department;
- Define the tools required for the manufacturing or assembly of aircraft components to ensure the required geometric tolerances;
- Harmonize the implementation of engineering changes or assembly strategies by working closely with the engineering, material logistics, quality and production departments;
- Ensure feasibility and plan changes requested by production and customers;
- Identify opportunities to eliminate non-value added by optimizing production.
As our ideal candidate
- You have a technical college degree and/or equivalent experience;
- You have experience in the manufacturing and aeronautical field (an asset);
- You are comfortable reading technical drawings, have a good 3D visualization and an analytical mind;
- You have a developed logical sense and a mechanical mind;
- You have an excellent team spirit, you are known for your perseverance and your judgment;
- You are innovative and have a good decision-making process;
- You have a strong customer focus and good interpersonal skills;
- You are familiar with computer aided design software such as Catia, Enovia..;
- You are familiar with one or more Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
- You are fluent in French, both orally and in writing;
