What are your contributions to the team?
- Troubleshoot complex issues related to aircraft mechanical systems and provide expertise in diagnosing critical failures.
- Develop and optimize functional test procedures for mechanical systems while ensuring compliance with engineering requirements and identifying the required specialized tooling.
- Collaborate with engineering to review, validate, and implement technical requirements related to mechanical systems.
- Plan, manage, and oversee the implementation of production changes while minimizing operational impacts.
- Provide in-depth technical support to production teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in root cause analysis, technical investigations, and corrective action implementation to improve product quality and reliability.
How to thrive in this role?
- You have a college diploma in Aircraft Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field, along with a minimum of eight (8) years of aviation experience, including at least three (3) years in a specialist role.
- You possess strong expertise in aircraft mechanical systems, including hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, flight control, landing gear, and environmental control systems.
- You have a proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues with precision and efficiency.
- Experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AME) or mechanical technician is considered a strong asset.
- Experience as a mechanical team leader in an aerospace manufacturing or maintenance environment is also a significant asset.
- You demonstrate excellent autonomy, initiative, and organizational skills.
- Bilingualism is essential, along with strong communication abilities.
- Knowledge of SAP, Macpac, and Quicksilver is an asset.
- Familiarity with Challenger aircraft products is a significant advantage.
- You are eager to learn and bring innovative ideas to improve products and processes.
