What are your contributions to the team?
- Develop short and medium-term capacity plans, including workforce and facility space requirements.
- Communicate production plans and any changes impacting assigned sectors.
- Monitor and measure adherence to production plans through cycle performance and backlog tracking.
- Develop, maintain, and align the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
- Prepare and evaluate planning scenarios to support manufacturing strategies by providing:
- Workforce impact assessments
- Facility space impact assessments
- Risk analysis for each scenario
- Recommendations on the preferred scenario
- Act as the primary link between production planners, the Master Production Plan, and manufacturing teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Supply Chain and Internal Logistics, Methods, Industrial Engineering, and Quality.
- Operate effectively within a unionized manufacturing environment.Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives and strategic operational projects.
How to thrive in this role?
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Logistics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in production planning.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to work in a structured and methodical manner with limited supervision.
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills, coupled with excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, a results-oriented mindset, and a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.Knowledge of SAP APO and ERP systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.
