What are your contributions to the team?
Product Environmental Compliance
• Monitor and review environmental laws and regulations in Canada, U.S., E.U., Asia and other countries that may impact the use of chemicals and/or market access in the aerospace industry;
• Assist in preparing guidance / regulatory reports on environmental regulations, analysis, and statistics related to compliance, as required, and communicate them to internal stakeholders;
• Compile mandatory substances information for products and work with different departments across the organization, to inform customers and suppliers, as required under applicable regulations;
• Collaborate with Bombardier programs to assist with the development of compliance processes.
Product Eco-Design
• Develop and implement environmental or life cycle analysis based on ISO or other relevant standards for research and development projects;
• Develop and implement Eco-design methodologies including, but not limited to, chemicals compliance, new technologies, circularity, life cycle analysis (LCA) and end-of-life;
• Prepare and offer internal training on product environmental compliance and Eco-design when required.
How to thrive in this role?
Qualifications
As an ideal candidate,
• You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science (or a closely related field) and / or you possess relevant experience;
• You are familiar with REACH and other environmental regulations / laws;
• You have an ability to understand and translate environmental regulations into engineering requirements;
• You have an understanding of sustainability focused ISO standards and life cycle analysis
• You are able to train and provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders;
• You have good spoken and written communication skills in both official languages (French and English);
• You have a good knowledge of MS Office and experience with Excel VBA and Power BI (an asset);
