What are your contributions to the team?

  • Work with leadership to define a digital transformation strategy aligned with organizational objectives, incorporating digital automation and AI technologies for plant engineering systems
  • Prepare and present business cases for new initiatives, such as AI-driven process optimization, to secure stakeholder approval
  • Conduct research on industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation in plant operations
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets for digital transformation initiatives, applying robust project management methodologies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Prioritize portfolio of initiatives in conjunction with the deployment of Operational Excellence and IT to ensure strategic alignment and desired business outcomes
  • Oversee the implementation of digital tools and systems that improve operational processes, safety, and resource utilization in plant environments
  • Identify potential risks and issues related to digital initiatives and develop mitigation strategies
  • Proactively address challenges to ensure project success
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly assess the performance of digital transformation projects
  • Analyze project data to provide recommendations for ongoing optimization and refinement of digital and AI-driven processes

How to thrive in this role?

  • Minimum of 5 years as a Project or Program Manager leading digital transformation initiatives, preferably in plant engineering, manufacturing, or a related industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field; MBA or PMP certification is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of digital technologies, including automation platforms and AI applications, and their integration into plant engineering systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timeline constraints.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategies that align digital initiatives with business objectives, leveraging automation and AI for operational improvements.
  • Familiarity with plant engineering functions, such as maintenance, infrastructure, and tooling, and their interaction with digital solutions to enhance efficiency and safety.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills to address challenges and optimize processes in a dynamic business environment.
  • Proven ability to connect digital transformation efforts to measurable outcomes, such as cost reduction, system reliability, and project delivery efficiency
