Professional, Senior, Engineering - Project Engineering - Research & Technology

The project R&T team is responsible for engineering project management of technology demonstrators and early phases of new aircraft developments. 

What are your contributions to the team?

  • Lead the planning and execution of R&T initiatives 
  • Define project objectives, scope of work, and deliverables for technology maturation and/or aircraft development 
  • Develop and maintain detailed schedules and critical path, risk management plans, and cost tracking  
  • Own the completion/execution of medium complexity projects within budget, justify deviations, and lead recovery actions  
  • Collaborate within the Engineering community, cross functional teams as well as external stakeholders  
  • Lead change management activities 
  • Provide clear visibility and reporting to management on project status, risks, and strategic decisions 
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes within R&T 

How to thrive in this role?

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in engineering.  
  • You have 8-10 years of experience in aerospace industry, project engineering experience is an asset. 
  • You demonstrate strong capability in schedule management, budget/cost management and Scope/change governance. 
  • You have solid understanding of technology maturation and conceptual design phases. 
  • You are comfortable working with uncertainty and evolving project scope 
  • You are autonomous, results-driven, and enthusiastic with strong work ethics. 
  • You have strong communication skills and can easily tailor your communication to suit the audience.  
  • You strive for harmonious cohesive teamwork. 
  • You are proficient with project management tools (eg., MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, TeamCenter)
