What are your contributions to the team?

  • Prepare flammability certification test plans, test reports and test sheets for the relevant aircraft programs based on input from colleagues and via the use of Bombardier specific tools.
  • Analyze physical flammability coupon performance and provide resolution strategies when performance does not meet requirements.
  • Communicate with multiple engineering, design, and operations departments to coordinate material flow, design specifications, change requests and product recommendations within the framework established by flammability regulations. …
  • Receive, read, and approve design compliance reports for various sub-systems against the appropriate flammability certification chapters.
  • Interact regularly with your immediate colleagues to stay abreast of developments and daily progress via Microsoft collaboration tools (Teams, Outlook).
  • Be comfortable in a flexible work schedule that permits working from home with periodic onsite visits.

How to thrive in this role?

  • You have a university degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • You have relevant experience in and knowledge of certification requirements for aircraft interiors.
  • Previous experience in flammability certification, especially in a business aircraft environment, is an asset.
  • You have the ability to understand complex engineering issues and are innovative in problem solving.
  • You are well organized and are project oriented.
  • You must be a self-motivated person, a team player able to work under pressure and under a minimum of supervision.
  • You demonstrate flexibility by managing changes and unexpected demands with agility.
  • You also demonstrate an excellent track record of meeting your commitments with success.
  • You have good communication skills including excellent English writing and verbal skills.
  • You have leadership.
  • You are bilingual (French and English) (asset).
  • You are knowledgeable of Catia and Autocad (asset).
