What are you contributions to the team?
- Develop Veneer documentation (matrices, floor plans) to order and define location for production.
- Participate in veneer inspections alongside Interior Design, BA supplier Quality and Production teams.
- Manage technical aspects of finishing materials—wood veneer, clear coats—while supporting internal and external partners.
- Assess production feasibility for engineering designs involving finishing materials and support change processes (RFCs, RFQs, PCRs, DCPs, P&Os).
- Advise cross functional teams on the technical viability of interior design solutions.
- Provide manufacturability guidance and support for technical test programs within the Completion Technologies laboratory.
- Conduct engineering activities related to material qualification, testing, and development.
- Stay current with innovations in materials, finishes, and processes to maintain competitiveness in business jet interiors.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing teams to execute projects and manage workload requirements.
- Co-author and execute test plans related to wood, soft goods, and finishing systems.
How to thrive in this role?
- You hold a Batchelor’s Degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in business jet interiors, specifically hands-on experience with raw materials such as wood veneers, soft goods, finishing products, etc.
- You are knowledgeable with general computer software, ideally AutoCAD & Catia.
- You possess a detailed knowledge and familiarity with business jet interiors.
- You are comfortable interacting with multiple departments such as engineering, operations, logistics, procurement, unionized colleagues, etc.
- You are fluently bilingual in English and French, written and oral.
